Etihad was established in 2003 as the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, based in Abu Dhabi. Etihad has since become the world’s fastest growing airline; by June 2006 Etihad had commenced service to 30 new destinations in 30 months. The airline plans to service 70 international destinations by 2010.
